A little history

In 1936, Portland Federal Employees’ Credit Union, later known as Forrit Credit Union, was founded by 45 founding members who formed a financial cooperative with the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people.’ The result of the credit union being founded on such a philosophy was a focus on members and personalized banking solutions. The resulting mission – Forward Together. Each Member. Each Moment – is to view every moment as an opportunity for growth, and we won’t stop making tomorrow a better place for our members.

Today, Forrit Credit Union continues to live up to the ideals of the original credit union, serving our members with a full spectrum of financial services, including anytime-anywhere online and mobile banking, personalized service, 24-hour phone access and more! All while remaining proudly small and living up to our mission of moving forward together with our members.
